Out of the Closet Thrift Store (OTC), the nation’s largest nonprofit thrift store chain supporting HIV/AIDS healthcare and advocacy, announces the opening of its newest location in Hyde Park. The store will offer affordable, high-quality clothing, furniture, and home goods, with $0.96 of every dollar earned supporting lifesaving HIV/AIDS services provided by AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF). The OTC will also offer a non-judgmental, stigma-free, environment to receive confidential, free HIV testing.

AIDS Healthcare Foundation’s award-winning Southern California Out of the Closet (OTC) thrift stores will host a donation drive and 30% off everything-in-the-stores sale this weekend to raise funds for ongoing Los Angeles wildfire relief efforts. The OTC sale and donation drive takes place Saturday, January 18 and Sunday, January 19, and all monetary proceeds from the two-day sale and donation drive will go to fire relief.

AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF), the largest global AIDS organization, is pleased to announce that it is opening a new branch of its popular and award-winning Out of the Closet (OTC) thrift stores—AHF’s first in San Diego. The store site, at 3580 5th Avenue, 92103 in San Diego’s Hillcrest neighborhood, is located in an all-in-one AHF facility that will also include an AHF Healthcare Center, a full-service AHF Pharmacy as well as an AHF Wellness Center, providing free HIV and STD testing and treatment. The other three AHF services held a separate ribbon-cutting and reception at the location on Friday.

The longtime and award-winning visual display coordinator for AIDS Healthcare Foundation’s (AHF) Out of the Closet thrift store chain, has won first place in a crafting and design competition in a special episode of HBO Max’s innovative reality program, “Craftopia.”
